In 2014, a stray dog sneaked into a group of athletes participating in the World Adventure Racing Competition in Ecuador. The dog followed them throughout the duration of the competition and ended up becoming a part of the team. They named him Arthur the king because of his bravery. The media went crazy taking photos and videos of the dog, who went from being a street dog to a celebrity. His story warmed our hearts.
In 2020, I authored a book aimed at Spanish learners at level 2, chronicling the incredible journey of Arthur the King. This work of comprehensible literature is based on actual events but presents a hybrid of fantasy and reality by narrating the story from the dog’s perspective.
Numerous books, articles, photographs, and documentaries have chronicled Arthur’s extraordinary journey, and in 2024 this incredible story came to life on the big screen!
