MEET THE MONKEYS is a 26-Minute Documentary on DVD complementing the book Olivia y los monos. The FREE 7-Minute Video on YouTube is a short version of the 26-Minute Documentary.
Olivia y los monos is based on the true story of the Misahuallí monkeys. The 26-minute Documentary takes the students to Misahuallí, a little town in the Ecuadorian Amazon, where a troop of wild capuchin monkeys share the village with the people.
Ecuadorian Verónica Moscoso, Olivia y los monos‘ author, visited Mishahuallí to make a documentary about the monkeys. The book is based on events that she witnessed and filmed and on the stories that the villagers told her.
